Blessed with last minute tickets, we went to a DC United Soccer game.
Sight seeing in D.C. we saw many of the great monuments and museums. The first time I've seen them as an adult.
In the butterfly pavilion at the Smithsonian.
We took a day trip with Jack's Cousin, Sean, to Gettysburg. Since it was almost the 4th, Jack decided to stop and get a FEW fireworks. He had to REGISTER, prove he was not from Virginia and get a special card just to buy the suckers @ this place. It was pretty intense, and we walked away with a lot less in our wallet, and what ended up being some pretty kick-you-know-what fireworks!
Wayne, Carm, Julia and Sean were gracious hosts and it was great to get to know them better. Here we are w/ Julia & Sean the morning we left.
