Abraham's 10th Week - July 9-15, 2009

My Birthday, July 14th!

Abraham and I LOVED having Michelle here. Her warmth and mellow personality are such a blessing to me. She is a wonderful friend and confidant. Having her come to visit was a wonderful B-day present!

Here are Abraham and I trying to get a picture with my sign. It was pretty bright outside so "The Mr." was not too pleased!

MOSA for B-day lunch! Yum!

I got to have lunch with all of my Michelles and two of my favorite kiddos! We should have taken a group picture.

Then we went to the Midhas for a little pool time!

Abraham gleaned a few pool tips from Aunt Michelle before going into a pool for the first time. She is so pool savy from her many years as a sun bather in FL, we were glad she was there to offer her support.

First time in the Pool! 69 days old!

Here's the video of his first time in the pool!

July 13th
My friend Michelle came to visit from FL and when we came back from some errands, the Murray girls and a friend had made me a Birthday sign!! I felt SO loved!

Here are Abraham and Michelle.
She bought him these adorable shorts!

Cow Appreciation Day @ Chick-fil-a-

I guess that it is a Chick-fil-a tradition to offer a free meal to anyone who dresses up like a cow!! This year it was Friday, June 10th, so I sewed some ears, spots and udders to a few pieces of clothing and we headed out when Jack got home from work. It was fun to see others and admire each other's costumes. Abraham was a pretty adorable cow and got a lot of attention. I was also impressed that you could order ANYTHING off the menu-free!

Chick-fil-a is definitely a favorite place for us here in the mid-south!

Check out those udders!

This is the first time Abraham moved in his crib. 64 days old.

I went in to check on him and he had scootched 45 degrees! This is only the beginning of many mobile firsts for our active little man

Abraham's 9th Week - July 2-8, 2009

This morning Abraham had his 2 mo vaccinations...It was heartbreaking for me to see him in pain, but I know it is SO worth it. I feared the worst, but was blessed with the best. After the initial screaming and pain @ the office, he was just extra sleepy. Praise God and thank you to all of you who covered him in prayer. God is taking great care of our little man.

You know it couldn't have been that bad, when a few short hours later, he's smiling in his sleep.

That afternoon I caught him talking on his play mat.

Random shot of him & Dad both in green.
His eyes are changing color.
They are still not a recognizable color, but turning much more golden/brown/green near his iris and still a deep grey/blue on the outer edges. Here's a shot so you can join in the fun of the "guess what color they will be" game.
