Abraham is 3 Months Old! - Aug 6, 2009

Yahoo!! We started early celebrating his 3 Month B-day by trying out the "new" (meaning just opened) jogging stroller that my 1st graders got for us at my Baby Shower in December... I have been dying to try it out, but Abraham was too small. He still looked pretty tiny in it.
As you can see he was very interested in the warning label.
He is obviously worried about the safety, so it is a good thing we waited!

Still reading the label as Dad posed with him!

All strapped in!
Survey says: Jogging Stroller is AWESOME! The ride is SO much smoother than his other stroller and Dad loved it too!

The stages of Abraham's smiles.
Finally, Dad & I were able to catch a few without them being too blurry!

Abraham and his snake (for size reference later)
That afternoon I took him for his first portrait!!
This was one of our favorite shots & one of the only smiles they captured

Most of the session he was very stoic.

I think he was so busy checking out all the lights and this weird guy with a black box-y thing stuck in front of his face, that he didn't have time for socializing and smiling.

For this one, the photographer came out from behind his camera, then snapped it quick.

This is definitely a common Abraham "look".
His smiles usually start and end in his eyes.

Back to checking things out.

We like to refer to this one as his "Aristocrat" portrait. He looks wonderful in dark colors.

Showing off that wonderful body God blessed him with!

This was Bram's other favorite pose. Now that he can control those hands a little more he is constantly sucking his first two fingers on his right hand, or doing his "praying hands" (below). He kept going back to it-much to the photographer's chagrin.

His Daddy's full lips...

Abraham's 13th Week - July 30-Aug 4, 2009

Three generations of Watkinson men, about 30 years apart, on Papa's 60th B-day!

Abraham is wearing his Daddy's "Tiger" shirt that he wore as an infant. So special!

Ready for church in his new preppy sweater!!Abraham helping Mommy with laundry. He's good at unfolding already!

13 Weeks Old!
Hanging out on his Papasan playing independently with his links & monkey! His mirror,hence-he, never ceases to amaze him(self)!
smiles
Later that day -and an outfit change later...

Usually he only uses his paci in the crib, but this day seemed to want more sucking and held onto it for a while after feeding.
He loves his Gymini.

Abraham's 12th Week - Lala & Papa come to visit! July 23-29, 2009

On Saturday Lala & Papa came to meet Abraham for the first time!! Their patience was rewarded with a much more responsive little man who now smiles and makes sounds. We had a blast with them! As you can see below, we were all thrilled to be together.
After church on Sunday we decided to take some pictures in our nicer clothing.
Soaring above his airplanes!

Abraham's outfit is a new gift from Papa. He picked out the tiger outfit since that was a nickname he used for John (Jack) when he was little. The brown is great with his eyes.

Watching Mom

SO happy with Lala.

A few family shots...

He was being a little squishy so we decided to try another pose...

Lala & I tried to capture some up close shots- Here are the big eyes! Sometimes he makes this face whwn he has just woken up and I come in and say "Good Morning Abraham!" It always makes me giggle.

Jack and I lovingly refer to this one as "turtle head" b/c usually when he makes this face his head bobs like a bobblehead.
Loving Lala

Add a little Papa to the mix
So sad, Lala had to leave & go see her family. We took a few more pictures right before she popped in the car.
Here is Abraham enjoying his new toy (a favorite in Lala's church nursrey). We named the toy Twiga (Swahili for giraffe). He does really enjoy "her".

Abraham is 12 weeks old today! Wednesday July 29.

Happy boy with a nice full tummy!

Tummy time in his new outfit from Lala.

Adorable!

Trying out his high chair while Papa did a total garage make-over, including hanging seldom used or not yet needed items and assembling & organizing two big steel shelving units!
