Abraham's Seventh Week- June 24-July 1, 2009

Hello Everyone!

It is hard to catch a smile without it being blurry b/c when he laughs & smiles, he moves. Here he is chuckling on his changing table the day he turned 7 weeks!

Grandma Kate bought us this handmade blanket from someone special @ her church.

Jack and I were trying to think of something to use in comparison to him as he grows.
I thought this snake might work.

His personality is really beginning to emerge.

Looking so grown up in his collared shirt.
Tummy Time!
He has gotten a lot more lackadaisical about lifting his head and seems content just to turn it to one side and suck his fist. Silly guy, he's supposed to be EXERCISING!
In the Moby Stacey let me borrow. This thing takes a few minuted to put on, but it is really cool and versatile.

Giving Daddy a big bear hug!

Whew! All that hugging can wear a boy out!

His eyes are changing color very slowly, but definitely NOT as dark and blue as they were. It is still REALLY HARD to tell what color they are. This picture is pretty true to color.

Here are a series of faces I got while trying to capture his dazzling smiles.
This one's just funny and shows of the big belly he's gaining.

Abraham's Sixth Week (including Father's Day!!) June 17-23, 2009

Abraham is beginning to tune in to specific objects around him ond loves his exercise mat with dangling toys, here he is enjoying himself.

We went to WC Johnson Park and enjoyed a loop on the trail. Pretty bumpy with our hard rubber wheels, but Abraham didn't seem to mind. He fell asleep even though it was about 95 degrees and 85 percent humidity!

"This is so embarrassing!"

Handsome Boys!

Quiet time together.

Smiles

Silly face.

Abraham's Sixth Week- June 18-24, 2009

I am thick in the charge of "becoming" a mother (mostly in wrapping my head and heart around the great responsibilities) and enjoying this child of God. It is strange to be home all day and get "nothing" done, but to know I have done so much to nurture and help this little one trust and love. He is still super floppy and not able to control his limbs or communicate at all beyond cries. He is beginning to smile, but not always in response to something. Every once in a while (more each few days) he will smile when playing or talking to us...so fun!

Abraham's Fifth Week- June 10-17, 2009

Abraham and our friend's son, who was born 18 days earlier.

We have two friends who had babies within 18 days before and after Abraham, but he is the most petite of all. I am working hard to fatten him up, and it is beginning to show!
(Check the cheeks)

Here he is in some super soft Jams that one of Jack's co-workers surprised us with!

Abraham's One Month Old!- June 6, 2009

After our morning feeding I decided to capture some of his favorite faces.

Here he is showing off a developmental milestone-bringing hands together!! Textbook timing!

Here is our big boy smiling in response. Sorry it's a little fuzzy, but he was being wiggly.

Tummy Time!

Getting in the bath. He has an iron grip and just happened to be holding on to me as I lowered him in. He is SO calm.
Now he's in. Time to enjoy another baking soda soak. He seems to like the bath and especially likes staring at himself in the mirror.

This is a very special shirt. This was Jack's when he was an infant, unfortunately it was tricky to get a good picture of him in it.

Our family with our one month old, all sacked out!
One of my personal favorite faces, "the "O" face".

Abraham's Fourth Week- June 6, 2009

22 days old, sleeping in his big crib, upstairs. I went up to wake him for a feeding
I brought him down and uncovered him, but he just kept sleeping!

27 days old, playing on his quilt in his Duck Jams.

We got an assortment of dinosaurs in a "rock" carrying case from Jack's Aunt and uncle.
Here's the T-Rex. They are RAD!
