Playing Catch up from August!

Early August we got to go visit Grandma Kate & Grandpa Norm in WA

They have a wonderful garden and the weather was beautiful and felt so refreshing after being in the Memphis heat. Abraham loved helping Grandma check her water levels in her watering cans.

We also got to visit a dear friend who I taught with and her family. Our boys are very close in age and enjoyed meeting each other.

They took us to their local Children's museum, and we all had a blast!
There were SO many things to do, but Abraham spent a LOT of time just crawling up & down a ramp. I guess it just felt cool.

Pillow Pit!

Abraham zonked out in a borrowed pack-n-play!
He loves his elephant, Elijah.

Having fun in the car with Grandpa Norm and Grandma Kate.

They made us blueberry pancakes from SCRATCH and they were DELICIOUS!

yum!

Lunch with Grandma

Pushing Zoey in the stroller. I think she liked the stroller more than Abraham did.

We had SO much fun with their cats. They were very patient with Abraham. This time he caught all of them sleeping in the same place! Jackpot!

He goes around to check it out from another angle.

Fun crafts @ Grandma's church!

Giggles with Grandma Kate!

Showing off my walking skills in the sanctuary.

That afternoon they drove us to stay with our good friends the Zinks. Abraham thinks Brandon is hilarious! Here they are playing peek-a-boo.
Delicious dinner!

AJW with Grandpa Norm!

Working on conquering the steps. Chelsea is a perfect coach.

Booty from the garden. The Zinks have so much to share. One of our favorite foods is blueberries, and we got to pick our own for the first time!

My dear friend Chelsea surrounded by growing foods!

Abraham spent a LOT of time playing with Tupperware.

The beautiful garden and Chelsea & Abraham walking in it.
(Look carefully, Chelsea's wearing pink)

There they are!

Surrounded by sweet peas, including mine!

Playing near the strawberry plants.

Chillin' with Brandon

Fist bump explosion!

Munching tomatoes straight off the vine! Delish!

Playing and checking out photos of playing at Kazoodles toy store in Vancouver WA. Miss Tonia is such a sweet friend!

Brandon finds some stylish duds.

Playing at the coffee shop where we had lunch.
Abraham's obsession with cats continued to be stimulated @ Chez Zink by their feline friend, Ciate (pronounced C, A, T).

Bath-hawk

Daddy joined us once his business part of the trip wrapped up.

Me, Abraham & Chelsea!
Brandon, Tonia & Lee, Then me, AJW & Chels. Too bad Courtney wasn't home, too! Oh, I wish we all lived a little closer to each other! I love you guys.

Daddy loves to make me fly! I couldn't be happier!

Back home in Memphis

Our MOPS coordinator kicked off the year with a Wacky & Tacky party for our steering team. Yipee! Dressing UP!

15 mo check up
Looking good the Mr!
Stats, as of Aug 23, Abraham is 32.5 inches tall and 24.4 lbs

We love to go to the Farmer's Market downtown Collierville, especially with friends like the Friel family!

Then we eat and PLAY on the square!

Another day, playing on the favorite slide in childcare @ church while Mommy is enjoying MOPS.

Abraham & Grant were stomping and laughing.

We got to go visit our friends, the Lewis family when they had their first baby girl! She is so beautiful. Abraham wanted to point out her facial features and loves saying and signing "baby".

Now that he's walking he really MOVES!
Zoo with Daddy
We visited the Birds and Bees exhibit and rode the carousel for the 1st times!

You can closely observe the birds when they come eat the seeds the keepers have attached to "feeding sticks"

We got a prime lunch spot near the window to the Gibbons enclosure.

1st carousel ride. He had a BLAST. I think he loved the Peek-a-boo aspect of going around and then waving to me again. I took videos but the blog site is not allowing me to upload today. SO lame!

He LOVES Baby Signing Time

He does the sign for time when he wants to watch it, or talks about it.

Pool play date with Levi & Xavier! This was a wagon ride after a dip in the water. We met Levi & his Mom at our library while doing a free class called Babygarten.

The boys wanted to tromp around in the mulch when we were trying to change/dry them.
