Room 5 Baby Shower - December 4, 2009

The wonderful families in my class threw an amazing baby shower for me on my second-to-last official day of school at Green Valley!

Heather and many others brought food and gifts as well as lots of laughs and good wishes for our family. Here I am recounting a story with the Moms as the kids are doing a project with Mrs. Ninekirk.

Our class made us the greatest touch and feel book with descriptions of each material and animal on the facing page. It is ADORABLE and Bacon is going to love it!

Surprise Wedding Shower - May '07

My class threw me a surprise wedding shower!
I was told I needed to be at a MEETING with some of the Kindergarten team. Instead, I was met with a clutch of excited, loving kids and parents!

I got a little teary.

They had fresh flowers, balloons, a beautiful cake, sparkling cider and even a mini veil!

Best of all...LOTS of HUGS!
The little siblings bonded over books.

I was showered with gifts! This one was from the whole class. A hand-painted tray from all the kids and Janine Perry. It has a sweet personalized message, colorful insect border, and lots of love. We have used it again and again since.

Wedding Shower With GV Teachers - March '07

My wonderful First Grade Team threw a shower for Jack and I in March. It was so fun to relax and chat with my amazing co-workers and Kristen was able to join us and reunite with many friends as well. The food was absolutely delicious! The laughter and company, even better.

They gave us "My" tool box complete with a few essentials and a Home Depot gift card. We also received some other wonderful things for our new home.

Here's my team: Mary, Lisa, Leanne and Gail. Brenda was not able to be there for the whole party. Thank you ladies, you really outdid yourselves!

Norma organized the games and a special vase of advice hearts. She's such a dear friend.
